Oral Surgery

Oral surgery encompasses a wide range of procedures aimed at diagnosing and treating various conditions affecting the oral and maxillofacial regions. Dr Haywood has trained at the highly regarded Eastman Training Institute and has completed postgraduate oral surgery training at the Royal College of Surgeons in London.

1. General and Wisdom Teeth Extractions: The surgical removal of a tooth, often necessary in cases of severe decay, infection, crowding, or impacted wisdom teeth.

2. Dental Implants: The surgical placement of artificial tooth roots (implants) into the jawbone to support dental restorations, such as crowns, bridges, or dentures.

3. Bone Grafting: The procedure involves adding bone material to the jawbone to restore its volume and density, creating a more suitable environment for dental implant placement.

4. Sinus Lift: Also known as sinus augmentation, it involves lifting the sinus floor to make space for bone grafts in the upper jaw, primarily performed to enhance the bone quality for dental implants.
